All approved models must comply, in all respects, with the USSSA Ball Performance Standards. Any unit that fails to meet these standards is noncompliant and is not permitted in USSSA sanctioned play.
In addition to the requirement that a model must comply, in all respects, with the USSSA Ball Performance Standards, to be eligible for USSSA Sanctioned play, the USSSA Certification Marks and all other graphics must be applied permanently and may only be applied by a current USSSA-licensed manufacturer. The use of stickers or decals is prohibited, and no additional graphics may be added to a ball after manufacturing. A ball with graphics not applied by the licensed manufacturer is an “altered ball”, is non-compliant and is subject to suspension under the USSSA Altered Ball rules.
Any unauthorized use, creation, or application of a USSSA Certification Mark without written permission from USSSA is a violation of federal trademark law and may result in prosecution by USSSA.
